Ethical Review Services Provided by QAZIIM

QAZIIM provides ethical review services for the following types of research:

• Biomedical clinical trials

• Scientific research projects

• Clinical studies and medical investigations

• Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD research projects

All studies involving human participants or animals must receive approval from the Ethics Committee prior to the initiation of the study. Without ethical approval, the collection of biological samples, data acquisition, or the conduct of experimental procedures is not permitted.

Mandatory Documentation for Grants and Regulatory Requirements

An official Ethics Committee approval letter is required in the following cases:

• Grant applications submitted to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education

• National and international research programs

• University dissertation and thesis projects

• Research conducted at medical and clinical institutions

The approval document issued by the QAZIIM Ethics Committee may be submitted to funding agencies, scientific journals, and regulatory authorities.

Education and Training in Research Ethics

QAZIIM places strong emphasis on promoting a culture of ethical conduct in scientific research and provides the following educational services:

• Training programs in biomedical research ethics

• Seminars for clinicians, researchers, and students

• Guidance on informed consent procedures and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles

• Consultation and guidance on ethically sound study design

These activities ensure that researchers not only comply with regulatory requirements but also consciously apply bioethical principles in their research practice.

Ethics application documents should be completed and submitted to the QAZIIM Ethics Committee via email at irb@qaziim.
